So I'm a bit of a watch nut, and I recently acquired a 1968 Bulova Accutron Spaceview.
It has a tuning fork movement, called the Accutron 214. For those that aren't familiar, the tuning fork 214 movement is an engineering feat. It moves the second hand at 360Hz, so instead of a ticking, you hear a faint hum. As much as I'd like to go on and on about it, its not really car related, so here are a couple pictures of it. The first is the watch itself, the second is the 1968 Spaceview next to the 2014 "remake" of it.

how much if you don't mind? I'd kill to acquire one! The remake has nothing on the original...

Love the vintage Spaceviews, one of the truly great American watch designs.

Post up a video so people can see the second hand move. Truly a cool movement.

I got mine for around $300, which is much lower than I expected. I had budgeted around $500 for it, and I got super lucky to find one that was in pristine condition. You can expect to find one in good condition (meaning light scratching or accuracy issues) for around $400, and If you wanted to get it restored it would be about $200 more depending on where you get it serviced.

I think the Spaceview to Miata ratio is somewhere between 2-3 Spaceviews = NP NA Miata.

Yeah Bulova makes great watches. Fun Fact: From ~1962~1977, a platinum version of the Accutron Spaceview was the official Gift of State of the US, so about 160 or so were given out as gifts to heads of other nations when they visited the US.

It came out to $314.90, $15 of that being shipping. I got super lucky with it.
